Mauri is a third-year PhD Candidate in the Department of Natural Resources and the Environment at the University of Connecticut. While her research background is in avian ecology, her dissertation is focusing on conservation topics related to landscape ecology, conservation planning, and exurban ecosystems.

21 Apr 2017: It's been a busy couple of weeks - a successful presentation at the US-IALE conference, a lab mate and 3 other NRE Master's students defended, and our camera trap paper was published in PloS ONE! A strong finish for the spring semester and 2016-17 academic year!
31 Mar 2017: It been a good week - my lab mate, Cristina Macklem, successfully defended her thesis and I Just got news that a camera trap paper I co-authored was accepted in PLoS ONE! Final proofs coming soon!
24 Mar 2017: Prepping for US-IALE Conference in Baltimore in a couple of weeks. UConn is going to be well represented and the schedule looks like it will be a fantastic conference!
