Mauri is the Bailey Conservation Fellow at The Nature Conservancy in Michigan and is about to defend her PhD dissertation at the University of Connecticut in the Department of Natural Resources and the Environment. While her research background is in avian ecology, her dissertation is focusing on topics related to landscape ecology, conservation planning, and social-ecological systems.

10 July 2018: I am excited to announce that I have accepted the inaugural 2018 Bailey Fellow position with the Michigan chapter of The Nature Conservancy! I am incredibly excited about this new opportunity and will be Michigan-bound soon!
